The Renwick's (David) Best TempleThe first place that we walked through was a temple with a unique twist. It looked like a regular room, however on closer inspection people could write on the walls. People used this space as a mourning area and were able to pray as well. Often, individuals wrote names of loved ones that have passed away on the walls of the temple. This piece relates to innovation as it showcases modern art in a way that people can use the art as a symbol of hope but also as an interactive medium.

Burning Man 2016, Lord SmortThe Lord Snort art piece was the first that stood out when we entered the exhibit. It really caught our eye because it was something so abstract and different from what we were used to seeing. It showcased a variety of people all coming together to engage with this artwork and each other. Due to the ability to climb on and actively engage with the swiveling boar, it became a natural meeting point for people during the 2016 edition of Burning Man. Since at a meeting point, strangers come together, new ideas are formed which can lead to innovation as stated by Alan Gregerman.
