A Social Community Georgetown is a modern community filled with energy. The countless storefronts on every street ensure that every visit brings something new and exciting. With that being said, many people seemed to have their go-to hangout spots. One of these was Pinstripes, a bowling alley that incorporates good food, games, and entertainment. The business perfectly matches the surrounding town, as it caters to large groups of friends. Anywhere you go you are certain to see people joking around and having a good time!
Innovation On Display One store that we couldn't pass up was Apple. It was far and away the most crowded business that we looked at; while other stores were closing for the night, the Apple store was still brimming with people. This is mainly due to their interactive displays and their one-to-one customer service. Even though we weren't planning on it, all of us quickly started playing around with different models of the phones and watches. Other stores could definitely benefit from this type of eye catching, interactive business model. With so many potential customers walking past, it is always important to make your store stand out and seem more inviting.
What's Important? Bonding - there were a lot of businesses that appeal to larger groups. In Georgetown, you rarely see somebody walking around all by them self. Our society is more connected than ever, and that manifestation can be seen in every part of Georgetown. Aesthetic - each business that we saw was clearly trying to represent a unique vibe that makes their branding jump out. For example, you could tell what type of audience a store was trying to reach based on their logo and window displays.
Modernness - the Apple store was a perfect example of the current consumer's desire for innovative, modern product presentation. If you can display or demonstrate a product or business model in a style that hasn't been seen before, it is almost guaranteed to be more successful.
Simplicity - more than ever, people like clear, easy to understand concepts. A lot of the restaurants and stores limit their selections to provide an easier customer experience. Variety is not viewed as better within our modern society. Sustainability - many companies are pushing towards more sustainable, ethically sourced products to please their consumer and shareholder base.
